TwelveTotems.org wishes all who remember and observe a very Happy Shavuot, Chag Shavuot Sameach! Shavuot, also known as the “Feast of Weeks” or “Feast of First Fruits,” is celebrated annually in the Third Month of the Ehveh ecclesiastical calendar as a one-day festival, to commemorate YAH‘s giving of the Torah to the Children of Israel at Mount Sinai. Shavuot also marked the official beginning of the harvest, or “first fruits” of the seven species of Yisrael‘s produce, wheat, barley, olives, grapes, figs, dates, and pomegranates. In 2018 on the Gregorian calendar, Shavuot begins at sundown on Saturday, June 9, 2018, and ends at sundown on Sunday, June 10, 2018. Through the giving of the Torah, Yisrael officially became a nation once YAH gave us His Laws and His Guidance of how to live in this world. Blessed is YAH, Our Elohim, King of the Universe, Who gave the Torah to His people, Yisrael!
