WATCH: “The Legacy of Arab-Islam in Africa” – Interview w/Dr. John Alembillah Azumah

Shalom, everyone! The following is an interview of Dr. John Alembillah Azumah, professor, and author of the book, “The Legacy of Arab-Islam in Africa,” in which he discusses in detail the history and practice of slavery by Arab Muslims in Africa. The Arab Slave Trade was much longer than the Transatlantic Slave Trade and much more brutal. The Arabs castrated male Africans so that they could not reproduce. This was genocide in itself. It was not until the 20th century that many Arab-Muslim nations abolished slavery on paper, however, to this day Africans are still being captured and sold in slave markets in a number of Muslim countries. Not much has been said in the media or even in the classroom about the Arab Slave Trade, yet, there are endless volumes of books about the Transatlantic Slave Trade. It’s time that both slave trades be given the equal exposure and condemnation they deserve.

As we have stated in a previous post, the truth is none of the so-called “Abrahamic” faiths are the friend of Africans. All three, Christianity, Islam and Judaism have our blood on their hands. It is time that the African Diaspora wholeheartedly reject these three so-called “Abrahamic” religions and return to the true culture of our ancestors AbrahamIsaac, and Jacob – the African culture. In later posts, we will discuss the timeline of the Arab/Muslim Slave Trade:
